Vence Studio
This project consists in the full renovation of a 20 m² studio located in the historic center of Vence (200–250-year-old building). The brief required a complete redesign of the space to improve functionality, comfort and rental value, while keeping a contemporary and warm identity. The existing layout, visible in the initial survey and photographs, showed outdated finishes, inefficient storage solutions and an overall lack of coherence.
The design proposal rethinks every area — living room, kitchenette and bathroom — with a minimal, contemporary aesthetic softened by natural textures and warm materials. The new layout improves circulation, light flow and ergonomics while integrating custom-made storage and compact appliances suited for student and seasonal use.
The process included:
— on-site analysis, measurements and technical assessment
— identification of constraints related to the age of the building
— space planning and circulation optimization
— material and moodboard research
— 3D modeling and interior renderings
— budget estimation and phased renovation strategy
In the living area, bespoke wood joinery, integrated storage and a convertible sofa create a flexible micro-living environment. The kitchen was entirely redesigned with compact appliances, a practical layout and an elegant palette combining warm woods, mineral textures and green ceramic tiles. The bathroom integrates an extra-flat shower tray, suspended WC, built-in storage and refined materials to bring a sense of calm and contemporary comfort.
